　　本書從歧義產(chǎn)生的幾種類型談起，對歧義的分析和論證也采用辯證的觀點(diǎn)和方法，將歧義看作是語言結(jié)構(gòu)形式與這種結(jié)構(gòu)的運(yùn)用的對立統(tǒng)一運(yùn)動(dòng)，兩者既相區(qū)別、制約，又相結(jié)合、滲透，這種機(jī)制表現(xiàn)在歧義的觸發(fā)、顯露、消除和利用的全過程。我們試圖以這種辯證的觀點(diǎn)為指導(dǎo)，在理論上兼收并蓄。歧義是一種語言中普遍存在的現(xiàn)象，作者也不回避自己的看法，書中著重討論歧義作為一種修辭手法，如果使用得當(dāng)，即運(yùn)用語言各個(gè)平面上的同形或同音異義現(xiàn)象，就會在文學(xué)、廣告文體及其它交際場合中起到諷刺、幽默等多種修辭作用，使聽讀者獲得審美情感，達(dá)到佳的語言修辭效果在內(nèi)容上全面攝取以照顧方方面面，為探索語言的本質(zhì)屬性和語言學(xué)研究提供實(shí)際和理性的依據(jù)。
