  本書按歷史年代編寫,集詩歌、小說、戲劇和散文為一書。作家按出生年月排序。本書的編寫體例是:分成若干部分(Part),每部分含若干章(Chapter)。每章中內(nèi)容順序基本是:作家生平和作品介紹(Life and works)、故事梗概(Outline)(有的作家沒有)、簡單評論 (Brief comment)、作品選讀(Selection)、注釋(Notes)和思考題(For study and discussion)。本書囊括各時期重要作家及其代表作品,共68位作家(含詩人、小說家、戲劇家、散文,第一冊32個,第二冊36個),選篇120個(第一冊52個,第二冊68個),貫穿整個英國文學(xué)進(jìn)程。 本書旨在培養(yǎng)自主學(xué)習(xí)能力、研讀作品能力、跨文化能力、思辨能力、研討能力和評論能力。 本書讀者對象包括英語專業(yè)、翻譯專業(yè)和商務(wù)英語專業(yè)本科生,還可供自學(xué)考試本科英語專業(yè)和廣大英國文學(xué)愛好 者。

作者簡介

  李正栓,河北師范大學(xué)二級教授,北京大學(xué)文學(xué)博士,蘇格蘭斯特靈大學(xué)榮譽(yù)博士學(xué)位,河北師大學(xué)術(shù)帶頭人,河北省中青年骨干教師、省高校教學(xué)名師、省社會科學(xué)優(yōu)秀青年專家。主要研究方向為英美詩歌、中英詩歌互譯及譯評,近年來出版漢譯英文學(xué)著作多部,主要包括毛澤東詩詞英譯、樂府詩英譯、藏族四大格言詩英譯、倉央嘉措詩歌英譯。在《外國文學(xué)研究》、《中國翻譯》等學(xué)術(shù)期刊上發(fā)表論文60多篇。曾七次獲河北省優(yōu)秀科研成果獎,五次獲河北省優(yōu)秀教學(xué)成果獎。 吳偉仁河北師范大學(xué)教授。 吳曉梅北京外國語大學(xué)博士在讀。
