◎作者簡(jiǎn)介拉馬穆蒂·香卡(Ramamurti Shankar)是美國(guó)著名物理學(xué)家,耶魯大學(xué)的吉布斯講席教授(Josiah Willard Gibbs Professor of Physics)。他的研究領(lǐng)域主要是理論凝聚態(tài)物理和量子場(chǎng)論。香卡教授在耶魯大學(xué)任教已超過45年,并曾擔(dān)任物理系的系主任。他獲得過耶魯大學(xué)的Harwood F. Byrnes/Richard B. Sewall杰出教學(xué)獎(jiǎng)和美國(guó)物理學(xué)會(huì)的Julius Edgar Lilienfeld獎(jiǎng)。他是美國(guó)人文與科學(xué)院的院士。
