Yang Kaizhong, Member of the Communist Party of China, Doctor of Economics. He serves as an academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, an expert who enjoys special government allowances from the State Council, and a major pioneer of regional science in China. He is mainly engaged in research on spatial economics, development economics, and ecological civilization. He is currently the dean of the Faculty of Applied Economics, UCASS, a professor of Peking University, the secretary of the CPC Committee of the Research Institute for Eco-civilization, CASS, the director of the Research Center forThoughts on Eco-civilization, and the chairman of the Regional Sciences Association of China (RSAC), the standing director of the China Ecological Civilization Research and Promotion Association (CECRPA),and an expert for the preparation of national territory planning. He used to work as a member of the drafting group of the Outline of the National Medium and Long Term Science and Technology Planning, a member of the Expert Committee for National Planning, a member of the National Expert Committee for Climate Change, the secretary general of Peking University, the deputy director of the University Council of Peking University, and the deputy president of the Capital University of Economics and Business. He has presided over and completed many national projects such as projects for national key research and development plans, published more than 300 academic papers (works), and won a number of awards of provincial and ministerial level and above.
