It helps readers gain a comprehensive and objective understanding of the fundamental systems and general development trends of contemporary China. This book provides a comprehensive and objective introduction to China’s democracy from both historical and world dimensions, progressively telling why China has such a democracy, what kind of democracy that China has, and why China’s democratic model has become more and more important. It also clarifies the historical basis and realistic orientation of Chinese democracy, and the characteristics and advantages of Chinese democracy.

陳堅(jiān):現(xiàn)任中央黨史和文獻(xiàn)研究院研究員,先后發(fā)表《從新時(shí)期黨代會(huì)報(bào)告看中共民主觀的演變》《執(zhí)政黨黨內(nèi)民主與構(gòu)建社會(huì)主義和諧社會(huì)》《改革開放以來我國(guó)政府機(jī)構(gòu)改革歷程述略》《黨的代表大會(huì)由年會(huì)制到常任制的演變及其試點(diǎn)模式》《黨的群眾路線形成與發(fā)展》《改革開放與黨的自我革命》等100余篇文章;出版《中國(guó)民主政治的走向》《民主監(jiān)督——中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨理論與實(shí)踐》、《群眾路線與黨內(nèi)教育活動(dòng)》《人民至上》《毛澤東的1949》《當(dāng)代中國(guó)政治》《自我革命:中國(guó)改革開放成功的政治密碼》等10余部著作。 Chen Jian He is a researcher at Central Institute of Party’s History and Literature. He has published more than 100 articles, including “The Development of the CPC’s Democracy Outlook from the Party Congress Report in the New Period”, “The Ruling Party’s Intra-Party Democracy and the Building of a Harmonious Socialist Society”, “An Overview of Chinese Government Institutional Reform since the Reform and Opening Up”, “The Evolution of the Party Congress from the System of Annual Sessions to the System with a Fixed Term and its Pilot Model”, “The Formation and Development of the Party’ s Mass Line”, and “Self Revolution of the Communist Party of China and the Reform and Opening Up”.
