本書是劍橋語言測試研究系列叢書的其中一部，由Aleidine J. Moeller，John W. Creswell & Nick Saville主編。本書全面闡述了語言測試研究中的混合研究方法（Mixed Methods Research），既有對(duì)混合研究方法和語言測評(píng)的理論探討，也有展示混合研究方法在語言測評(píng)開發(fā)和研究中實(shí)施的案例。本書對(duì)于我國的語言測評(píng)研究人員是不可多得的研究方法參考書目。本書共分為四個(gè)部分：第一部分聚焦語言測評(píng)與混合研究方法結(jié)合時(shí)要考慮的基本因素，第二部分探討開展混合研究方法研究的重要組成部分、主要步驟和考慮因素，第三部分展示語言測評(píng)領(lǐng)域采用混合研究方法的個(gè)案研究，第四部分提出混合研究方法在實(shí)際應(yīng)用中的建議。
