Lyric （ Ci， a type of classical Chinese poetry） is an artistic form that best reflects the literary accomplishments of the Song Dynasty. Outstanding poets used lyrical poetry that was bold and unconstrained or graceful and restrained， leaving a deep impression on readers. Chinese painting reached a peak in the Song Dynasty， and featured a variety of subjects and diverse artistic expression. The book selects 100 Ci together with corresponding translations of Mr. Xu Yuanchong， as well as paintings of the same dynasty that echo the artistic concept of lyric poetry. It aims to help readers to know and enjoy the beauty of Chinese culture with a combination of select masterpieces.
