彭勃,中國(guó)科學(xué)院國(guó)家天文臺(tái)研究員,1993年獲天體物理博士學(xué)位。 1993年參與10國(guó)大射電望遠(yuǎn)鏡LT(SKA)籌備,共同發(fā)起、提出和發(fā)展SKA中國(guó)概念及其先導(dǎo)FAST。1994年組建并任LT課題組長(zhǎng),1998年FAST項(xiàng)目委員會(huì)主任,1999年SKA組織董事,2005年大射電望遠(yuǎn)鏡實(shí)驗(yàn)室主任,2008年FAST工程副經(jīng)理,2012年SKA 973首席科學(xué)家。長(zhǎng)期從事射電源巡天、瞬變天體、星系形成與演化、天文技術(shù)與方法研究。主持完成國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金(重大)、中科院(重點(diǎn))及科技部973項(xiàng)目等。發(fā)表國(guó)際第一篇SKA(Square Kilometre Array)無(wú)線電環(huán)境選址論文等約130篇,做邀請(qǐng)報(bào)告上百次。 現(xiàn)任貴州射電天文臺(tái)臺(tái)長(zhǎng)、FAST工程經(jīng)理部副經(jīng)理、國(guó)家天文臺(tái)射電天文技術(shù)實(shí)驗(yàn)室主任。自1994年,代表中國(guó)長(zhǎng)期參與平方公里陣望遠(yuǎn)鏡(SKA)國(guó)際合作,與荷蘭、德國(guó)、英國(guó)、南非、澳大利亞等射電天文學(xué)家建立了長(zhǎng)期友好合作。
