　　明項(xiàng)元汴撰。介紹作者生平所見所藏朱元明渚窯名瓷83器，并一一為之圖解，圖施彩繪，區(qū)分類聚，勒成十冊。本書基于英國卜士禮對于該書的解釋說明進(jìn)一步敘述中國瓷器概況。

作者簡介

　　項(xiàng)元汴，明代著名收藏家、鑒賞家。工繪畫，兼擅書法，造詣極深。本書中圖片概由其描繪所呈，別致而有感染力，可見其對古瓷的理解與藝術(shù)修養(yǎng)之精深，歷經(jīng)四百多年后仍為世人所喜愛。1868年1月，英國醫(yī)生卜士禮，前往北京擔(dān)任英國駐華使館醫(yī)師，并兼任京師同文館醫(yī)學(xué)教習(xí)。他在中國居住長達(dá)32年，期間不僅精通了中文，還撰寫了許多關(guān)于中國藝術(shù)、錢幣學(xué)、地理、歷史等方面的論文。1900年退休后回到英國，此后出版了《中國美術(shù)》（Chinese Art，1905年－1906年）、《中國瓷器》（Chinese Porcelain，1908年）、《中國陶瓷圖說》（Description of Chinese Pottery and Porcelain，1910年）等著作，并翻譯了明代收藏家項(xiàng)元汴先生的《歷代名瓷圖譜》。
