“博雅”學(xué)科英語系列教程屬于大學(xué)英語高階課程教材,供非英語專業(yè)學(xué)生使用。一般情況下,學(xué)生在完成三個(gè)學(xué)期的基礎(chǔ)英語課程學(xué)習(xí)后,在第四學(xué)期開始該教程的學(xué)習(xí)。1.該教程屬于通識(shí)英語類教材。通識(shí)英語(ELE,即English for Liberal Education)以英語語言為載體,以人類文明、科學(xué)、文化發(fā)展為主題,有內(nèi)容、有深度,以拓展學(xué)生的知識(shí)視野、提升學(xué)生的人文素養(yǎng)和批判性思維能力為目的。是一種特殊形式的“專門用途英語”。2.人文素養(yǎng)的提升和思維能力訓(xùn)練是教程編寫的指導(dǎo)思路?!叭宋乃仞B(yǎng)”決定了教程主題雖然與學(xué)科相關(guān),但具體內(nèi)容并非為深?yuàn)W的專業(yè)知識(shí),而是*近似于本學(xué)科的科普類教材。“思維能力訓(xùn)練”則要求練習(xí)設(shè)計(jì)擺脫傳統(tǒng)語言教材模式,強(qiáng)調(diào)對(duì)課文內(nèi)容的反思和知識(shí)的運(yùn)用。3.英語語言能力的提升也是教程的重要教學(xué)目標(biāo)。在該教程中,學(xué)科知識(shí)的學(xué)習(xí)和課后練習(xí)均通過英語語言實(shí)現(xiàn)。從英語教學(xué)的角度看,語言知識(shí)的輸入采用基于內(nèi)容的教學(xué)方法(content-basedinstruction,CBI),語言技能的提高則以輸出任務(wù)為驅(qū)動(dòng)(output-driven)。因此,英語語言能力在學(xué)習(xí)完成后必然得到很大程度的提升。《文學(xué) 真與美的追尋》梳理并呈現(xiàn)文學(xué)的起源與定義、文學(xué)經(jīng)典的特質(zhì)、文學(xué)思潮的劃分、文學(xué)大家的生平與貢獻(xiàn)、文學(xué)研究的方法與變革、文學(xué)論文的寫作等文學(xué)素質(zhì)培養(yǎng)的重要方面,使學(xué)生全面了解文學(xué)學(xué)科的本質(zhì)與特征,開啟深入閱讀和研究文學(xué)經(jīng)典的興趣,提升文學(xué)欣賞和研究的能力。
