  全書以資源經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)以及體驗(yàn)經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)理論為基礎(chǔ),把旅游景區(qū)劃分為遺產(chǎn)型景區(qū)與開發(fā)型景區(qū),提出了中國(guó)旅游景區(qū)管理的分類管理模式與標(biāo)準(zhǔn)管理模式。分類管理模式中又分為遺產(chǎn)型管理模式與體驗(yàn)型管理模式,前者適合遺產(chǎn)型景區(qū),后者則適合開發(fā)型景區(qū)。在標(biāo)準(zhǔn)管理模式中分為綠色、等級(jí)與示范管理。提出了中國(guó)遺產(chǎn)型景區(qū)管理體制改革的“上統(tǒng)下放”說(shuō),即國(guó)家級(jí)以上遺產(chǎn)由國(guó)家集中管理,省級(jí)以下遺產(chǎn)管理模式相機(jī)選擇。
