安樂哲（Roger T．Ames），夏威夷大學中國哲學教授。他翻譯過《孫子兵法》（Sun-Tzu．TheArt of Warfare，Ballantine Books，1993），與劉殿爵一起合譯《孫臏兵法》（SunPin：TheArt of Warfare，Ballantine Books。1996），與羅思文（H．Rosemont，Jr．）合譯了《論語》（The Analects ofConf cius：A Philosophical Translation，Ballantine Books，1998），與郝大維合譯《中庸》（Focusing the Familiar：A Translation and Philoso．phicalInterpretation of the zhongyong，University of Hawai’ Press，2001）。他也是包括《透過孔子而思》（Thinking through Confucius，State Universityof New York Press，1987）、《期待中國：透過中西文化而思》（AnticipatingChina：Thinking through the Narratives of Chinese and Western Culture。State University of New York Press，1995）、《由漢而思：中西文化中的自我、真理和超越》（Thinking from the Han Self，Truth andTranscendence in Chinese and Western Culture， State Universitv of NewYork Press）等對中國哲學進行闡釋性研究的著作的作者之一。
