　　大連海事大學(xué)出版社2008年5月第1版的中國(guó)海事服務(wù)中心組織編審的全國(guó)海船船員適任考試培訓(xùn)教材《輪機(jī)英語(yǔ)》的第一篇“專業(yè)閱讀”中選取了大量英版原文作為課文，每課課文附有生詞與短語(yǔ)表，部分難句還在注釋中作了翻譯。2008年11月，大連海事大學(xué)出版社又出版了由黨坤、宋永欣、鄭慶功主編的“《輪機(jī)英語(yǔ)》譯文及自學(xué)輔導(dǎo)”一書，對(duì)上述《輪機(jī)英語(yǔ)》教材中的閱讀課文進(jìn)行了全文翻譯。然而，船員適任考試培訓(xùn)教師在使用該《輪機(jī)英語(yǔ)》教材的過(guò)程中發(fā)現(xiàn)了以下幾個(gè)問(wèn)題：1．教材的生詞表中某些單詞列出了幾個(gè)不同的中文詞義，有時(shí)甚至列出了這個(gè)單詞作為名詞、形容詞、動(dòng)詞時(shí)的全部詞義，等于是代替學(xué)員查了詞典，但學(xué)員往往仍然不知道課文中是用的哪個(gè)詞義；2．學(xué)員對(duì)詞語(yǔ)或句子理解不了時(shí)會(huì)去查閱譯文，但由于某些句子較長(zhǎng)、結(jié)構(gòu)較復(fù)雜，看了譯文仍搞不清楚哪個(gè)英文詞語(yǔ)譯成了哪個(gè)中文詞語(yǔ)、原文的語(yǔ)法結(jié)構(gòu)到底是怎么樣的、為什么譯成這樣的中文等等；3．進(jìn)行全文翻譯的老師們付出了辛勤的勞動(dòng)，可是有了譯文之后，有些學(xué)員就離不開(kāi)譯文，看了譯文以為自己理解了原文，下次碰到類似結(jié)構(gòu)的英文仍然無(wú)法看懂。鑒于這些問(wèn)題，本書對(duì)課文中學(xué)習(xí)者可能尚未掌握的單詞和短語(yǔ)編寫了有針對(duì)性的英文或中文解釋，對(duì)課文中容易發(fā)生理解錯(cuò)誤的長(zhǎng)句難句進(jìn)行了結(jié)構(gòu)分析，對(duì)典型的理解錯(cuò)誤作了警示，有的地方還分析了發(fā)生錯(cuò)誤的原因及提出了如何避免錯(cuò)誤的建議，目的是幫助學(xué)習(xí)者通過(guò)學(xué)習(xí)課文真正提高英語(yǔ)閱讀水平
