  周堯和教授長(zhǎng)期從事凝固理論與凝固技術(shù)研究,對(duì)鑄件凝固過程的傳熱、傳質(zhì)和動(dòng)量傳輸進(jìn)行了系統(tǒng)研究,建立了強(qiáng)制性凝固組織形成原理的新理論框架。在國際上首次發(fā)現(xiàn)并定義了鑄錠凝固過程中的第三對(duì)流區(qū),據(jù)此提出的鋼錠頭部正偏析理論得到公認(rèn)。發(fā)明了保溫冒口,并被國內(nèi)外廣泛應(yīng)用,獲得了顯著的經(jīng)濟(jì)效益。開辟了“生態(tài)材料學(xué)”研究的新領(lǐng)域,并迅速轉(zhuǎn)化為諸多大型冶金企業(yè)的先進(jìn)生產(chǎn)力。這本文集精選了周堯和院士及其指導(dǎo)下的研究團(tuán)隊(duì)50年間在國內(nèi)外重要會(huì)議和期刊上所發(fā)表的部分代表性論著,按內(nèi)容分為3個(gè)專題,即凝固與晶體生長(zhǎng)科學(xué)、凝固技術(shù)與鑄造和非晶合金與亞穩(wěn)相。本書可供從事物理冶金、凝固理論和技術(shù)研究的科研、教學(xué)和工程技術(shù)人員閱讀,以及有關(guān)院校材料科學(xué)與工程專業(yè)師生參閱。
