The Tibet Autonomous Region in southwest China forms the southwestern portion of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. As one of the five autonomous regions in China, it neighbors with the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to the north across Kunlun Mountains and with Qinghai Province to northeast across eastern Danggula Mountains, faces Sichuan Province across Jingshajiang River, a Tributary of the Yangtze River on its upper reaches, to the east, Borders with YUnnan Province with the snowcapped Meilishan Mountain, part of the Henduan Mountain Ranges, to the southeast and abuts the five nations of Burma, India, Bhutan, Sikkim and Nepal with Himalayas and Kala Kunlun Mountains to south and west.本書為英文版。
