《新思維英語》教材以素質(zhì)教育作為指導(dǎo)思想，以培養(yǎng)學(xué)生多元的思維方式和積極的生活態(tài)度為宗旨，聽說及課文部分所選語料融科學(xué)性、知識性、哲理性、趣味性為一體，內(nèi)容涉及自然、地理、歷史、文化、體育、身心健康、社會生活等多方面，不僅可以使學(xué)生輕松地掌握英語知識，而且在潛移默化中培育學(xué)生學(xué)會怎么做人、做事；語法以“夠用”為度，表述通俗、易懂、易學(xué)；練習(xí)針對性強，題量適當(dāng)，課上練習(xí)與課后作業(yè)并重；寫作形式多樣，實用性強；教師用書解釋詳盡，重點突出，條理清晰。 本套教材體系設(shè)計新穎，每冊共八個單元，每單元分為Learn to say， Learn to Read，Learn to use和Learn to write四大板塊。每四個單元后提供一套試題，該試題以“全國英語等級考試（PETS）”為依據(jù)設(shè)計題型，并融所學(xué)知識于其中。如果每周四課時，建議每單元在七個學(xué)時內(nèi)完成，剩余課時可用于學(xué)生自測及教師講評。其中聽說部分兩個課時，閱讀部分三個課時，語法和寫作部分各占一個課時。各校也可以根據(jù)實際課時數(shù)靈活調(diào)整教學(xué)進度和教學(xué)計劃。本書為該套教材的第三冊。
