《21世紀大學英語基礎視聽說教程》是普通高等教育國家級重點教材，2002年全國優(yōu)秀教材二等獎。該教程在教學實踐中，備受師生青睞，為全國越來越多的高校廣泛采用。最近教育部頒布了《大學英語課程教學要求（試行）》，對大學英語的教學提出了更高的要求。根據(jù)《要求》，我們編寫了《普通高等教育“十一五”國家級規(guī)劃教材？21世紀大學英語基礎視聽說教程》。《普通高等教育“十一五”國家級規(guī)劃教材？21世紀大學英語基礎視聽說教程》以功能訓練貫穿始終，采用了視、聽、說相結(jié)合的方法，充分利用現(xiàn)代化教學手段，旨在全面提高學生的聽說能力。本教程內(nèi)容豐富，題材廣泛，形式多樣，語言地道，由淺人深，環(huán)環(huán)相扣。本教材共八個單元，每單元由四部分組成。第一部分為“交際技能”（communication skillS）。主要強調(diào)功能訓練以及視（video watching）、聽（1istening）和說（speaking）的統(tǒng)一，強調(diào)語言輸入和輸出的有機結(jié)合。本教程的一個顯著特點是增加了“視”的內(nèi)容，這無疑有助于提高學生的聽說能力。第二部分圍繞貼近大學生生活的主題（theine）展開聽說訓練。除了傳統(tǒng)的聽說項目外，本部分還增加了“美國之音”（VOA Special English Program）的聽力訓練，使學生了解、掌握“真實英語”（authentiC English）。當然在選材時也充分考慮到其難易程度，以及與主題的相關性。第三部分為“聽力技巧”（1istening Strategy）。每一單元圍繞某一技巧組織聽力材料，通過實踐使學生掌握聽力技巧。在材料的取舍、練習的安排方面，充分顧及到學生的英語水平及語言材料的可操練性，從而體現(xiàn)以學生為中心的理念。最后部分為“泛聽”（extensive listening）。這部分加入了“影視欣賞”和“歌曲欣賞”（moviewatching），這也是本教程的“亮點”之一。它既可以提高學生的學習興趣，又可以檢驗學生的英語綜合運用能力。教師可把這部分看作是前三部分的補充和加強，可視實際情況，靈活選用。本套教程以國外先進的網(wǎng)絡教學系統(tǒng)為教學平臺，給師生提供最優(yōu)的互動支持，既解決了目前師資緊缺的難題，又為學生開展自主學習提供了方便。本教程視聽說內(nèi)容涉及到日常生活中方方面面，故無論是高職高專的學生，還是大學本科的學生，乃至研究生，均可選擇適合自己的話題和內(nèi)容進行口語訓練。
