1.本教程的編寫以《大學(xué)英語教學(xué)大綱[修訂本]》和《大學(xué)英語課程教學(xué)要求[試行]》為依據(jù)。按照這兩個文件關(guān)于大學(xué)英語各階段(快速)閱讀能力培養(yǎng)所做的定性定量要求,確定所選閱讀材料的題材與體裁、長度與難度、數(shù)量與編排,等等。2.材料的選擇注意思想性、知識性、趣味性、可讀性。所選閱讀材料應(yīng)題材廣泛、形式多樣,其內(nèi)容須思想健康,知識含量高,饒有情趣,耐人尋味,能牢牢吸引讀者。3.閱讀材料的語言規(guī)范標準、純正地道,并兼收標準的英國英語和美國英語的材料。語言難度適中,生詞量控制在3%以內(nèi)。4.教程的編寫要以有利于教與學(xué)為立足點,從框架結(jié)構(gòu)的設(shè)計、單元的設(shè)立、課文的設(shè)置到練習(xí)的編寫與安排,都要盡可能考慮教學(xué)的實際要求。5.根據(jù)循序漸進的原則,各冊文章的篇幅與難度漸次遞增。一、二冊每篇250詞至450詞,三、四冊450詞至650詞之間。6.練習(xí)不僅旨在檢查學(xué)生對課文的理解,同時還幫助他們更好地應(yīng)用有關(guān)閱讀技巧,理解課文的重點與難點。結(jié)構(gòu)設(shè)計:教程現(xiàn)分四冊,供四個學(xué)期選用。按每學(xué)期18周計,每周一個單元,每冊含18單元,每單元分Text A和Text B。在每冊目錄后第一單元前配“Introduction to Important Reading Skills”。本教程的編寫采取“主題與技能”相結(jié)合的路徑,即單元圍繞內(nèi)容的主題設(shè)置,練習(xí)針對所需掌握的閱讀技能與所要求理解的文章內(nèi)容設(shè)題。練習(xí)包括開放性問題、正誤判斷、多項選擇、完成句子等四種。除第一種題型外,其余練習(xí)在書后配有參考答案。因此,每冊教程基本結(jié)構(gòu)如下:使用說明(前言)Introduction to Important Reading SkillsText AExerciseText BExerciseKey to Exercises本書為第4冊。
