  前言本教科書(shū)已經(jīng)是第九版了,但它與第一版仍有著相同的目的:盡可能用最清楚、最有趣的方式解釋微觀經(jīng)濟(jì)理論,并說(shuō)明微觀經(jīng)濟(jì)理論廣泛的實(shí)際應(yīng)用。但是,由于理論本身的進(jìn)展,也由于它的應(yīng)用和教學(xué)方法的變化,我們對(duì)每一章都作了大量的改動(dòng)。在這新的一版中,我們?cè)黾恿藘烧?,一章討論?jìng)爭(zhēng)在促進(jìn)經(jīng)濟(jì)效率中的作用(以及政府干預(yù)的作用);另一章說(shuō)明非對(duì)稱信息對(duì)買(mǎi)賣(mài)雙方市場(chǎng)行為的影響。現(xiàn)將我們對(duì)這兩章以及其他一些增改簡(jiǎn)述如下:1.緊接著關(guān)于完全競(jìng)爭(zhēng)的討論,我們?cè)黾恿擞懻撜深A(yù)作用的一章,即第10章。在這一章中,我們對(duì)完全競(jìng)爭(zhēng)市場(chǎng)能夠促進(jìn)經(jīng)濟(jì)效率的方式以及政府干預(yù)的影響進(jìn)行了初步的考察。對(duì)學(xué)生來(lái)講,了解競(jìng)爭(zhēng)市場(chǎng)對(duì)這種干預(yù)會(huì)作出何種響應(yīng),以及能夠(至少大致)估計(jì)由此導(dǎo)致的消費(fèi)者和生產(chǎn)者的收益和損失,是十分重要的。本章為學(xué)生提供的分析工具(和若干實(shí)際的案例研究)有助于他們獲得這種本領(lǐng)。2.新增加的另一章是關(guān)于非對(duì)稱信息的第18章。在這一章中,我們討論非對(duì)稱信息如何影響買(mǎi)賣(mài)雙方的市場(chǎng)行為。我們的結(jié)果可以解釋現(xiàn)代經(jīng)濟(jì)中的各種現(xiàn)象——從舊車(chē)市場(chǎng)上多得不成比例的壞車(chē)到勞動(dòng)市場(chǎng)中存在的大量失業(yè)。另外,我們的發(fā)現(xiàn)還說(shuō)明了如果存在非對(duì)稱信息,在完全競(jìng)爭(zhēng)經(jīng)濟(jì)中為什么會(huì)出現(xiàn)市場(chǎng)失靈。3.本版增加了一個(gè)新的跨章案例:“FCC和全球最大的拍賣(mài)”。這一案例考察的是1995年5月,聯(lián)邦通訊委員會(huì)(FCC)關(guān)于寬波段個(gè)人通訊業(yè)務(wù)許可證的拍賣(mài),和1994年關(guān)于窄波段個(gè)人通訊業(yè)務(wù)的拍賣(mài)。FCC的拍賣(mài)是微觀經(jīng)濟(jì)理論應(yīng)用中的里程碑。4.為了給增添的這些新內(nèi)容留下足夠的篇幅,我們對(duì)關(guān)于投入品的價(jià)格和使用量的討論進(jìn)行了壓縮并放在第14章。在上一版中,這些內(nèi)容占用了兩章,而現(xiàn)在則被濃縮成了一章。5.增加了不少新的論題。比如,在第12章,增加了斯塔克爾伯格模型和伯特蘭模型;而在第13章,引入了博弈樹(shù)的概念并介紹了最大最小策略。6.增加了許多新的實(shí)例。特別而言,下面這些例題是新的:(1)咖啡館入侵曼哈頓;(2)棉花價(jià)格:南北戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)以來(lái)的最高水平;(3)大公司的總經(jīng)理真的值每年2600萬(wàn)美元嗎?(4)汽油的最高限價(jià);(5)奶制品的價(jià)格支持;(6)汽油稅應(yīng)該提高嗎?(7)在??怂刮槠澩胬匣C(jī);(8)輪胎零售市場(chǎng);(9)內(nèi)爾·西蒙到外百老匯;(10)固定裝置市場(chǎng)的非對(duì)稱信息;(11)小貨車(chē)和棒球選手中的“次品”;(12)達(dá)瓦特、麥當(dāng)勞及信譽(yù)的重要性。7.每章末的習(xí)題有所增加,并對(duì)原有習(xí)題作了不少改動(dòng)以使討論更貼近時(shí)代。從第1章到第19章,對(duì)圖、表、正文和注釋都作了不少改動(dòng),對(duì)每個(gè)句子都以挑剔的眼光重讀了一遍。
