中國社會學史新編：英文版

　　This book for the 21st century is an achievement in scientific research of "theReform program of Teaching Content and Curriculum System for the 21st CenturySponsored by the Ministry of Education". Divided into two parts， it covers a recentcollocation and conclusion of the history of Chinese sociology from the angles of socialoperation and sociology itself. The first part "Early Chinese Sociology Before theEstablishment of PRC" deals with the history （from the time of introduction to theyear 1949 ） of the two traditions of sociology：Comtian sociology and Marxistsociology by talking about the two fields ofeducation and research. Meanwhile thispart also gives a systemat accoun to several major schools ofsociologyincludingRural Construction， Eclecticism， School of Community and Marxist School. Thesecond part "Hardships in theDevelopment of Chinese Sociology after the Estab-lishment of PRC" mainly discusses the abolition， restoration and reconstruction ofChinese sociology， with the emphasis on the progress in sociological education andresearch from the time of reconstruction to the present. Certain typical sociological theories or ideas in the research are analyzed respectively. This textbook， together with its appendixes of major events and important works in Chinese sociology with in100 years， is regarded as the one that covers the longest span of years among bookson similar subject. The writers made every effort to present readers with such a bookcontaining abundant materials， intelligent layout， clear divisions， eondse expressions， andsimple terms used to explain the profound.They hope to combineknowledge， systematicness， novelty， facts and readability all together in the book. The book is supposed to be a textbook for sociological majors or other majors insocial sciences at college.

　　鄭杭生，中國人民大學社會學系教授，博士生導師。教育部人文社會科學百所重點研究基地中國人民大學社會學理論與方法研究中心主任。中國社會學會會長、北京市社會學會會長。國務院學位委員會政治學社會學學科評審組第三屆、第四屆成員，國家哲學社會科學基金社會學評審組組長，教育部社會學學科教學指導委員會主任委員。主要代表作有：《社會學對象問題新探》、《社會運行導論》、《轉(zhuǎn)型中的中國社會與中國社會的轉(zhuǎn)型》、《當代中國社會結(jié)構和社會關系研究》、《中國社會學史新編》、《二十世紀中國的社會學本土化》等。李迎生，男，1962年8月生，安徽桐城人，社會學博士?，F(xiàn)為中國人民大學副教授，兼加拿大國際亞洲研究協(xié)會會員，日本早稻田社會保障研究會會員。1999-2000年在日本東海大學從事比較社會保障制度的學習與研究。曾在《中國社會科學》、《東海大學學報》（日）等國內(nèi)外學術刊物發(fā)表論文約50篇，另出版《現(xiàn)代社會學》、《二十世紀中國的社會學》、《社會保障實務大全》等專著（含合著）多部，有數(shù)項成果獲獎（含省部級獎）。
