  本書所介紹的以學生為主體的英語教學法,是一種與教師決定教學內(nèi)容和教材的傳統(tǒng)教學法截然不同的選擇。首先,它提倡學生參與決定教學內(nèi)容,力圖使用學生自已的輸入成為主要的教學內(nèi)容資源,并成為整個學習過程的中心。以學生為主體的英語教學與當前主張培養(yǎng)學生自主學習,自導學習等傾向不無聯(lián)系,但它所強調(diào)的不是自學而是群體學習過程中的學生自主性。本書比較典型的反映出作者關(guān)于如何建設新型的師生關(guān)系、如何根據(jù)學生需要更新教學內(nèi)容以及如何精心培育課堂氣氛等主題的思考。
