隨著石油工程國際合作項目的日益增多,越來越多的石油工程科技人員需要提高英語交流水平,從而了解國際石油經(jīng)濟的新進展,成功地從事國際合作業(yè)務(wù),參與國際競爭。但目前市場尚缺乏適于自學(xué),且石油專業(yè)涵蓋面較廣的英語閱讀教材。為此,我們編寫了一套《石油科技英語叢書》,分為石油勘探英語、石油鉆井英語、油田開發(fā)英語、石油化工英語和石油經(jīng)濟與管理英語五個分冊。這五個分冊基本涵蓋了石油工業(yè)各方面的詞匯和術(shù)語,每一分冊原文均選自英語國家原版刊物,語言地道、準確,疑難語法現(xiàn)象及語言點均配以注釋,閱讀理解練習(xí)的設(shè)計科學(xué)、合理,有利于閱讀理解能力的快速提高。此外,所有原文均配有準確流暢的譯文,讀者可借此進一步提高閱讀理解的準確性,也可以通過翻譯練習(xí)提高翻澤能力。有了《石油科技英語叢書:油田開發(fā)英語》石油工作者就可以隨時隨地進行英語自學(xué),盡快掌握本專業(yè)常用術(shù)語、詞匯及表達法等,更順利地進行對外合作業(yè)務(wù)。本教程編寫過程中,廣泛參閱了國際最新石油科技雜志和專著,選材具有新穎性和實用性,語言技能訓(xùn)練根據(jù)學(xué)習(xí)者的專業(yè)需要而有所側(cè)重,適用對象范圍廣,可供石油、石化科技工作者使用,也可供大專院校師生等做ESP(English for Specific Purposes 8專門用途英語)教材或參考書使用,更值得作為資料情報館藏。
